C-Leg Certifications

Tom Padilla, C.P.O., and Eric Hinderager, C.P.O., recently completed a C-Leg course hosted by OttoBock in Salt Lake City. The C-Leg is a highly advanced, microprocessor-controlled prosthetic knee used to give above-knee amputees greater stability and function as compared to traditional mechanical knees. The "brain" in the knee actively monitors the patient's gait at 50 times per second, adjusting settings and instantly adapting to slopes, stairs, and variable walking and running speeds.
With the addition of these two becoming certified users of the C-Leg, Brownfield's now has 5 prosthetists trained in this technology to best serve our community.
